Kasukuwere under fire for MDC-T slur

Zanu-PF political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere has come under attack for claiming that opposition MDC-T had caused the collapse of companies in Bulawayo.

Kasukuwere on Sunday urged Bulawayo residents at a campaign rally for Zanu-PF Makokoba parliamentary candidate Retired Colonel Tshinga Dube, to dump the MDC-T which he blamed for allegedly running down the city for close to a decade.

MDC-T spokesman Obert Gutu said Kasukuwere's claims were outrageous and false and an insult to the people of Matabeleland.

He added that the claims were not possible as MDC-T was not running the government.

Bulawayo Agenda director Mmeli Dube echoed Gutu's sentiments saying people would read through Kasukuwere's cheap politics.
