A Harare man, who cannot endure beatings, being locked out of matrimonial home by his wife and constantly cook for his children, has sought protection order from the courts.

Takawira Peturu is accusing his lover Evangelist Chatima of physically and verbally abusing hi.

According to H-Metro, he claims his wife is in a habit of locking him outside the house and at time beats him.

"She locks me outside and sometimes I have to sleep at my friend's house.

"She does not listen to me. She refuses to do simple work a woman ought to do. I come from work and I have to cook for the children," he told magistrate Trevor Nyatsanza.

He added "I want her to leave and go back to her parents' home. She is also having an affair with another man who is her co-workers."

However, the wife said "Your worship it is not true, we are having troubles back home. We fight each other. He is the one who assaults me first and I try to defend myself and we engage in a fight," she said.

When fighting I get to overpower him that is when he argues that I am beating him up and he ends up running away.

"I lock him outside because I would be afraid of him," she said.
