Mugabe's administration cannot account for $3.5 billion govt funds

The supervisor of government accounts and financial controls, the Comptroller and Auditor-General, has made a shocking revelation that President Robert Mugabe's administration cannot account for $3.5 billion which was earmarked for civil servant's salaries.

This was revealed in a report that was presented to the parliamentary portfolio committee on Public Accounts on Monday.

The report reflected various other anomalies and poor accounting practices by the ministry of Finance during the 2012/13 period.
