Heal Zimbabwe in National Peace and Reconciliation awareness campaigns

Heal Zimbabwe Trust and organization fighting for peace and reconciliation has embarked in the awareness campaigns to make people aware of the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission's mandate and duties.
The organisation indicated that it conducted awareness campaigns on the National Peace and Reconciliation Commissions(NPRC) in Mazowe recently.
"The objectives of these campaigns are,to further interrogate the provisions of the NPRC in the constitution of Zimbabwe," said the organisation.
"To share and popularize the mandate of the NPRC, To create and raise awareness on the life and tenure of the NPRC as stipulated in the constitution and empower communities with information on the legal route in resolving conflicts."
It said it is everyone's constitutional right to demand the NPRC.
Issues of political violence back dated to the Gukurahundi era are haunting Zimbabwe with civic organisations and people who were affected calling for compensation, reconciliation and peace amid Zanu PF seem to be ignoring the calls 35 years since the country attained its independence.
