Six drug peddlers nabbed with 176kg of mbanje

Six suspected drug peddlers from Mucheke suburb in Masvingo have been nabbed on Monday after found with 176 kg of dagga worth thousands of dollars.
Patience Kwirirai, 29, Germany Madzova, Felix Muango, Definite Chikuni, Susan Ziyambe and Norita Mararo are the suspects are said to have a history of dealing in illicit drugs.
"I can confirm the arrest of six suspects in connection with dagga found in their possession in Mucheke suburb. The suspects are in custody helping police with their investigations and are expected to appear in court soon," said Masvingo acting police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Nkululeko Nduna
In January this year, traffic police in Masvingo manning a roadblock arrested a suspect who was part of a three-member drug peddling syndicate at the 43 km along the Masvingo-Mutare road. The suspect was allegedly found in possession of 103 kg of mbanje with a street value of $10,300.
