MDC-T councilors walk out on Mahofa

CHIREDZI - Two MDCT councilors walked out on Shuvai Mahofa last week after the Minister started talking Zanu-PF politics at a function hosted to officially commission a refurbished road in Chiredzi.
Councillors Munyaradzi Hatinahama of Ward 5 and Gibson Hwende of Ward 1 were seated at the entry gate while the majority of other councilors were seated in the VIP tent at the function held at Town Council offices.
Councillor Hatinahama blasted some of his colleagues and Zanu-PF of hijacking a function meant for Government business. He said they cant be part of Zanu-PF politics.
Chiredzi Town Council Chairman Francis Moyo said it was unfortunate that the event turned to be political but it was not his council's intention.
The event was characterised by political slogans and political leadership in party regalia was in control at the event.
