The state controlled Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation has said it will begin transmitting election material programming in conformity with the country's electoral laws and regulations.
ZBC Acting General Manager News and Current Affairs Chris Chivinge says political parties participating in the June 10 by-elections are being offered commercial airtime for advertisement and to present their manifestos in the form of recorded programmes.
Chivinge said the airtime will be above that made during news and current affairs programming. Discounted rates for commercial airtime will apply in terms of electoral regulations.
