Didymus Mutasa responded to VP Emmerson Mnangagwa's attack on him by threatening to expose some damaging information he has on the VP. He also brushed off Mnangagwa's utterances that Mutasa did not play a role during the liberation war.

He also dismissed Mnangagwa's claims that that he had fled Harare after receiving news that MDC had won the 2008 presidential election.

Mutasa revealed that President Robert Mugabe's inner circle were scattered around the country during that time, including Mnangagwa who was in his constituency.

Further mocking Mnangagwa, Mutasa said the VP had abandoned his Kwekwe constituency for the comfort of the "tailor made" seat of Chirumhanzu-Zibangwe.
