Political parties in Zim have no strategy to overcome dictatorship - Analysts

Social and political analysts have bemoaned that the lack of strategies by the opposition political parties to dislodge dictatorship in the country.
Dewa Mavhinga said Zimbabwe's politics is hopeless such that even if a thousand political parties are formed they have no strategy or vision to overcome dictatorship.
"The levels of ambition, the size of egos in these small parties, the hunger for power - astounding," he said. "The cowardice in the face of the regime - just marvelous. Their preference always is to fight among themselves but never with the real challenge. As my mentor always said - they are crocodiles in the opposition who unfathomably become lizards when facing the regime. Sadly, when paid well, there will be consultant analysts who will support such madness to forever."
Butholezwe Nyathi said the strategy is a coalition and the political leaders should be encouraged to bury their differences and come together to fight dictatorship.
Mavhinga said an effort is put by other sections of the society for a grand coalition but it seems there is no appetite for a common vision.
Pedzisai Ruhanya said there was there is a lot of hope and those who are patient will realize that.
"We are closer to reaching a democratic or transitional breakthrough and it needs patience and real strategic maneuvers," he said.
"However, in this interregnum we should be careful of political hyenas. Many opportunists and political vultures will come and our duty is to remain steady fact while correctly reading the situation. We should be careful of false prophets especially those coming from a divided Zanu-PF regime who are promising heaven on earth. Remember that just like the Hitler regime, the life of a regime in Zimbabwe has been traditionally long but we will triumph, the people shall overcome. we must have hope."
Isaac Maziveyi said power hungry is the cause of the problem,it starts even to the branch level where all agendas for who some pple want bcz money will already be given to structures to vote for the leadership that they dont know.
