'Zanu-PF will not crumble like MDC,' says Mnangagwa

Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa says Zanu-PF will keep growing from strength to strength and the revolutionary party will not crumble like the MDC which has split into several parties.

With a few days to go before Wednesday's parliamentary by- elections, Zanu-PF is rounding off its campaigns.

This Saturday Vice President Mnangagwa descended on Bulawayo province to canvass support for the five candidates who will be representing the party in the by-elections.

Addressing party supporters at White City stadium, Mnangagwa said while MDC has dominated Bulawayo politics for the past 10 years, the Bulawayo leadership has assured him that the party will win come 10 June.

Vice President Mnangagwa said Zanu-PF will not be shaken by detractors but will continue to grow from strength to strength.

He said those who want to align themselves to a strong party should stick with Zanu-PF.

Focusing on the economy, Mnangagwa said government is working on recapitalising a number of companies, among them, the Cold Storage Company, under the Special Economic Zones programme.

He said the government is putting in place investment policies that will attract investors.

Vice President Mnangagwa also touched on corruption, declaring that government will not tolerate this social vice in all sectors.

The candidates who will be representing the party are Tshinga Dube in Makokoba, Maidei Mpala in Lobengula, Joe Tshuma for Mpopoma /Phelandaba constituency, Ntandoyenkosi Mlilo in Cowdry Park and Godfrey Malaba contesting in Pumula constituency.
