Mujuru sponsors Independent candidates

Independent candidates have confirmed that expelled former Vice President Joice Mujuru is sponsoring them ahead of Wednesday's by-elections and called for her to stand against Zanu-PF in the 2018 polls.
Announcing a coalition of 10 independent contestants of the June 10 polls, the candidates used the motto People First which has always been linked to Mujuru.
They described Mujuru as a "principled and tolerant leader" who should stand against Zanu-PF in the next general elections.
Expelled Zanu-PF secretary for Information and Publicity Rugare Gumbo has since confirmed that their People First project was sponsoring several candidates in the by-elections.
