ZEC confirms Mavis Gumbo's withdrawal

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has formally confirmed the withdrawal of  Mavis Gumbo from contesting on a Zanu-PF ticket in Harare East Constituency.

There was confusion over past weeks as to who was to represent the party, resulting at one point the party being represented by two candidates.

Zanu-PF has since then directed that Terrence Mukupe is the rightful candidate for the by-election.
