Some online news websites only believe in events after they have been been published by the state controlled media houses.
The report by Bulawayo24 about the VP Nkomo's death had have some of the news sites calling the website "Some on-line publications operated by untrained journalist".
Bulawayo24's publication was confirmed by Busani Malinga in South Africa. Malinga is the son of Joshua Malinga the former Bulawayo Mayor. Busani first wrote onfacebook that he had confirmed that the VP had died. Bulawayo24 contacted Busani who confirmed say he had just spoken to his father who said it was true that the VP had died.
All this happened after the twit that said VP was/is still alive. Just because we did not wait for the state media to confirm that does not make us "Some on-line publications operated by untrained journalist".
