As transport blues continue to hit many residents in urban areas Harare Residents Trust has started mobilising residents at the capital city to contribute some money towards the purchase of a commuter omnibus that will service the residents.
Through its facebook post HRT indicated that membership is mobilising to purchase a commuter omnibus to ferry them during times of bereavement and happiness among members.
" A member becomes a member after paying a dollar which is valid for one year from the date of joining," said the Trust. "This is part of the organisation's measures to sustain its operations in a harsh economic environment, but very optimistic residents who have developed strong structures to fundraise and initiate livelihoods interventions."
"If you are willing to contribute to the purchase of the kombi, you have to pay a dollar- up to US$100 via our eco cash number 0783 283 467 or visit our offices at corner Mazowe Street and Josiah Tongogara Avenue. From individuals the organisation does not accept money above US$100."
