A SMALL Scale miner in the Ntabazinduna allegedly pounced on at Leads North Mine registered in the name of another miner Never Ntini  ordering the mine worker to stop mining.

He later visited the mine armed with a machete threatening to kill and throw him into the mine shaft.

Artwell Ntini (23) appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Sibongile Msipa Marondedze charged with assault and threats of violence.

He was not asked to plead to the charge and was further remanded out of custody for trial.

The court heard that on May 23, 2015 at 1pm Ntini went to Leads North Mine owned by Never Ntini and ordered the worker Kimberly Maseko not to work in the mine shaft where he (Artwell) had some time in 2012 worked in. On May 24, at 5pm Artwell went to the same mine armed with a machete and threatened to strike and throw him into mine shaft or whoever continued to work in the mineshaft.

Maseko reported the matter to the police leading to Artwell's arrest.
