Presidential Guard boss in hot soup

Anselem Sanyatwe Commander of the Presidential Guard Brigade, Brigadier General is facing disciplinary action over his utterances last week to the effect that the army would intervene to deal with vendors if they fail to move out of the central business district within the week.
Sources said top commanders were riled by damaging remarks which have caused national outrage and were apparently not sanctioned by the minister and his superiors in the army.
"Make sure that your people go to designated places. If they don't, as JOC, we … will deal with you."
This was the chilling warning issued by Brigadier General Anselem Sanyatwe as the government threatened to control the mayhem created by its vendor economy.
He was speaking at a meeting in the capital where local government minister, Ignatius Chombo, gave vendors seven days to move off the streets of the country's towns and cities and operate from designated points.
Meanwhile, Constantine Chiwenga Zimbabwe Defence Forces commander General and State Security Service chiefs are fuming over security breaches in President Robert Mugabe's chaotic encounter with Nigerian journalists at Muhammadu Buhari's inauguration in Abuja a fort night ago.
This will pile pressure on CIO director general Happyton Bonyongwe, already under stress over a number of issues, who was there when the fiasco happened.
