Jehova's witness caught in Satanism storm

ONE of Jehovah's Witnesses members from the church's Sakubva circuit is in the eye of a Satanism storm after some of the members fingered her for causing untold suffering. In an unsolicited interview, one of the alleged victims, Mrs Jessie Musundire, narrated her ordeal, claiming her whole family had been affected by Mrs Frosie Mwatse's alleged underworld shenanigans.
Manica Post reported however that Mrs Mwatse was quick to dismiss the allegations. Said Mrs Musundire:
"It all started in 2004 when we bought maize from her. After consuming sadza from the maize-meal we bought from Mrs Mwatse, we would suffer from terrible constipation, but at first we did not suspect anything.
"We would be attacked by invisible things and it felt like dog bites. When we visited doctors, they failed to diagnose any health problems on us. As the problem continued, we decided to pray so that Jehovah would show us a sign.
"Indeed, He showed us the sign we were asking for. My family noticed that whenever we gave Mwatse handshakes in greeting, we would feel an electrocuting effect and we knew then that she was the trouble causer."
She claimed that when they confronted Mrs Mwatse, she immediately admitted that she was into Satanism. "When the problem worsened, we decided to confront her. We summoned her to our house and when we explained to her that we always felt ill after eating sadza from the maize she sold us, she admitted that she was responsible. She said asi hamuziwi kuti kune vanhu vasatani.(Don't you know that the devil has his agents?).
"She went on to tell us that half of the church, including some of the elders were her partners. Because of this problem, we can no longer go to church because when we do so, we immediately fall ill. At first we felt that nothing should stop us from going to worship our Lord, but when the illnesses persisted, we decided to stop," she said.
Amid her narrations, Mrs Musundire expressed bitterness and disappointment in their church's elders who had dismissed her request for justice and swept the issue under the carpet.
"When we went to the church elders to report the issue, they told us to keep mum and not to spill the beans to anyone. One of the elders, (name supplied) told us that even if we were to die; there would be no problem as we would go straight into paradise.
She also alleged that Mrs Mwatse was trying to initiate one of her daughters into Satanism.
"As we speak, one of my daughters knows no rest as she often sees Mwatse in her dreams. She told me that Mwatse will be trying to persuade her to join Satanism. We do not want any trouble. Our main concern is to completely heal from the mysterious illnesses caused by someone who used to be a trusted family friend," said Mrs Musundire Mrs Mwatse, however, insisted that Mrs Musundire was just out to tarnish her image, something she described as a test to her spirituality.
Though she admitted that she knows about the issue, she went on to deny all the allegations that were being levelled against her by Mrs Musundire and her family.
"I know about the issue you are talking about, but all I can tell you is that my hands are clean. These people are just falsely accusing me . . . (ipomero chete yavari kundiitira iyi.) Mrs Musundire was like a child to me and before the so-called problem started, I used to help her get maize-meal through my son who worked at Magorokosho Grinding Mill because food was scarce those days.
"I was shocked when she approached me saying I had cast a sickness spell on her. All the other people I helped did not fall sick or complain of anything and to this day, it beats me that she could accuse me of such a vile act as witchcraft.
"Anyway, I will follow my elders' advice not to take offence, but to leave everything in God's hands," she said.
She also revealed that the issue had been dealt with by a delegation which had come from America when Mrs Musundire had first cried foul.
One of the Jehovah's Witnesses Church elders, who identified himself only as Elder Maeka said that he knew about the issue, but refused to comment further.
"We are aware of the issue you are talking about, but I am afraid we cannot comment anything about it. This is not the first time that Mrs Musundire has threatened to approach the papers and all we can say is that you are free to write whatever you want. Just like any organisation, the Jehovah's Witnesses church also respects certain protocols. We dealt with this issue at church level and to us, it is a solved and closed chapter," said Mr Maeka.
