Political hatred killing the country - commentator

A social and political commentator Butholezwe Nyathi has said political hatred portrayed by the ruling party and the opposition MDCs among their members is a recipe for disaster in the country economical and political.

"Why do we hate each other in politics? Is it necessary? Can't we agree to disagree?" Nyathi asked.

"I think it is just immaturity.... I differ with people from Zanu-pf and in other political parties. Does it mean I must insult and disrespect them?"

He said he once passed a message to leaders of the Renewal Team to stop insulting MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai by calling him Gumbura. "I thought and still think it is wrong," said Nyathi.

"Calling for maturity in our engagements, can I get an Amen!!!*"

"We can't unite if we do not maintain mutual respect for each other. We have common issues and we should complement each other."

The MDCs have been for so long attacking each other and diverting their focus from fighting the ruling Zanu PF which is viewed as the one that has destroyed the country.
