Gideon Gono former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe recently had his property attached by the Messenger of Court over $22 000 owed to his former finance manager identified as James Gondodza.
According to the Newsday, Gondodza, who worked at Gono's Omega Abattoirs, claims the ex-RBZ boss owed him salaries from January 2013 to October 2014.
The attachment of the property followed the registration of an arbitral award at the High Court in the sum of $22 060 by Gondodza after the arbitration tribunal presided over by Honourable Masinire, ruled in his favour. The attached property included a Toyota Hilux with no wheels, a CAM truck with no wheels and 1 500 asbestos sheets.
Through his lawyers Gondodza accused Gono's firm of committing unfair labour practise adding that they had failed to respect the sanctity and sacredness of his right to remuneration.
