TWO Bulawayo men have dragged each to court as they fighting for control of a woman whom they both claim.
Francis Moyo of Cowdray Park and Dennis Tshuma of Njube told a court that the unnamed woman is failing to choose between them.
They both said they want the court to intervene and give direction as to how they could 'share' her without threatening or being jealous of each other.
Moyo is the one who took Tshuma to court.
He said "I am the applicant in this case and seeking a peace order against Dennis Tshuma. The reason being that he has on three occasions come to my place of residence threatening to assault and stab me with an Okapi knife saying he wants my wife.
"On all the three occasions he was demanding to take my wife to his house saying she was also his wife. I need the intervention of this court to grant an order so that we can live peacefully without threatening or having jealous towards each other."
On his part Tshuma said he married the woman in 1999 and have two children together.
"Your worship I am shocked by this man's clams that my wife is his. The wife belongs to me and I married her in 1999 and we have two children together.
"It is painful that my wife is going to the applicant's place of residency where she is accommodated while knowing that I am married to her.
"To be honest before the court, the woman is mine and we have been married for 16 years".
The magistrate, Evyline Mashavakure was stunned by the notions and ordered both men not to verbally or physical abuse each other.
