A man is furious with his elder brother's wife whom he is accusing of having recruited his three daughters to become agents of the underworld.
Wendy Makunike - the sister-in-law made a protection order application against her husband's younger brothers Peter and Arthur Chigwizura as well as Victor Makondo whom she accused of disturbing her peace by forcing her to consult traditional healers.
According to Manica Post, Victor Chigwizura told a Mutate court that all these traditional healers consultations emerged after his daughter Sthokozile was sent packing by her husband who claimed that she was a witch and therefore needed cleansing at her parents' place.
"This woman bewitched my daughters by recruiting them in her witchcraft gang and now they won't get married. Sthokozile got married and she was brought back with a nine-month pregnancy, with her husband saying that she was a witch.
"I did not object because I knew it was true. We later consulted three sangomas in Makunike's presence and she was pointed as the one who had put a curse on all my daughters."
Chigwizura told the court that Makunike paid what is called matatenda and nhemamuripo to appease the spirits as well as paying the traditional healer.
"That is why we took Sthokozile and dumped her at Makunike's place. It is our custom that if a witch refuses to remove the curse, you dump the victim at their homestead.
"We, however, never assaulted her as she is implying," added the other brother Arthur.
However, Makunike claimed that the pair had assaulted her in front of her minor children and her husband. They labelled her a witch, damaging her reputation in the community.
"Their deplorable behaviour traumatised my minor children and I also have the right to liberty as enshrined in the Constitution.
"I should not be forced to take part in any rituals and I believe it was within my right to refuse to do that," she said.
