A POLITICAL analyst Pedzisayi Ruhanya has said it appears Zanu PF and the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) colluded to cheat former MP of Hurungwe West Temba Mliswa after it emerged that his rival candidate from Zanu PF was not in the voter's roll when the results have since been announced.

Revelations coming up are that the Zanu PF candidate Keith Guzha's names were not in the voter's roll which might have disqualified him during the nomination court sitting.

Ruhanya said, "My view is that Temba Mliswa won the Hurungwe West by-election were it not for the complicit between Zanu  PF and ZEC. If the Zanu PF candidate Guzha was not registered to vote, surely ZEC discovered this at the nomination court."

He said but since there were only two candidates, the disqualification of Zanu PF's Guzha would have meant that at the close of nomination Mliswa would have been declared winner.

"Postulation is that ZEC and Zanu PF colluded to avoid a technical knock out," said Ruhanya. "How does a person not on the voters roll gets nominated as an election candidate?"

Guzha currently faces parliament recall following the revelations.
