Information and Media Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo is tight-lipped on his reported 'stepping down' from his cabinet post on Tuesday.
Moyo, who recently took to twitter and not hesitating to engage anyone has surprisingly not been responding to inquiries from his followers.
However, Moyo a once fierce critic on President Robert Mugabe briefly went on his usual defensive gear-insulting one follower.
One Maggs Naidu had posted "it's being said that @ProfJNMoyo was unceremoniously FIRED by #Mugabe. Unsurprisingly - he's an idiot!".
Moyo quickly shot back : "The real idiots are your ancestors who colonised Africa!".
Kuda Muchena asked, "Fellow Zimbabweans why is @ProfJNMoyo silent on crucial 'step down' issue? is it becoz article is written by SILENCE"
That also drew blanks.
However, Bulawayo24.com understands that there is panic at Zimpapers, particularly its Bulawayo branch.
The Bulawayo office house the Chronicle, Sunday News, B-Metro and uMthunywa.
Insiders say editors who were personally roped in by Moyo are not sure of their fate.
They fear losing their jobs if a new minister is appointed.
Normally a new minister makes drastic changes in the editorship ranks.
