A woman reportedly ditched her husband for his nephew after accusing him of failing to organise their white wedding, the Harare Civil Court heard yesterday.
Benard Mapfoche claimed Elita Frank was now living as husband and wife with his nephew.
Mapfoche had been dragged to court by Frank, who was seeking a protection order against him.
"I want the court to protect me against this man because he verbally abuses me each time I visit his house to see our children," she said.
Frank told magistrate Ms Audrey Tarugarira that Mapfoche once threatened to shoot her when she went to his house to see the children.
"He used to force me to have indecent sex with him and that is one of the reasons why I left him," said Frank.
She claimed Mapfoche sold nearly half of their matrimonial property and diverted the money to his own use.
Mapfoche denied all the allegations levelled against him by Frank.
"She ditched me for my nephew after accusing me of failing to organise our white wedding," he said.
Mapfoche told the court that Frank comes to his house to insult him and his new wife.
"She told our children that she was no longer interested in our marriage because I was failing to organise our white wedding.
"She even confessed to me that she was now living as husband and wife with my nephew," said Mapfoche.
Ms Tarugarira deferred the matter to June 29 and ordered both parties to bring witnesses.
