Learner driver causes accident at VID premises

A female learner driver stunned Vehicle Inspection Department officials and other learners when she failed to control a car inside the VID premises and hit a tree.
Prisca Nyahuma had to be rushed to Parirenyatwa Hospital as she sustained injuries on Thursday.
Nyahuma was on a road test.
Learners and instructors from various driving schools including VID staff looked in disbelief.
She had just passed through the drums, parallel parking, three point turn and it was at the hill start where she failed to apply breaks.
The car sped off and hit a tree which was 50 metres away.
Hill start is the last point of inspection at the VID yard before being taken through the roads in the city centre by the instructor.
Nyahuma was in shock and could not speak when paramedics attended to her.
