Harare Residents Trust mobilising funds to buy bus for bereavement

The Harare Residents Trust (HRT) is mobilising funds to buy a bus for use by residents in times of bereavement.

This come at a time when many residents were having problems in catering for the mourners traveling costs during funerals forcing many residents to fail to attend distant burials due to transport shortages.

"HRT members are raising money to buy an 18-seater commuter omnibus to be used during bereavement of members and other gatherings of the organisations, including experience sharing trips," said HRT.

"The most satisfying part is that the organisation has been building capacity of the citizens to fight their own battles and fund their own initiatives.

The organisation said all those willing to help in this cause are most welcome.

"But we do not take donations above US$100 from individuals," said the organisation.
