Temba Mliswa battles to save property

Temba Mliswa Former Hurungwe West MP yesterday filed an urgent chamber application at the High Court seeking to stop the auctioning of his property that was attached on Monday over a $2.7 million debt he owes CBZ bank.
His lawyer confirmed the development saying the default judgement used by the bank to attach the property from his farm in Karoi was irregularly obtained.
Mliswa had his property attached yesterday at his Spring Farm in Karoi over a debt he owes the CBZ.
The properties attached include 108 herd of cattle, farm implements and equipment, household property from his farm house, lodge and restaurant.
The Karoi Deputy Sheriff, Mr Stuwart Magudze confirmed attaching the property this afternoon, saying it will be auctioned if Mliswa fails to settle the debt in 48 hours.
Mr Magudze said the value of the property however falls far short of meeting Mliswa's obligation to the bank.
An order to attach to the property is said to have been granted by the High Court at the beginning of this year but the execution was however delayed to give room for a possible settlement plan.
