Twenty foreign students deported

TWENTY foreign students have been deported from Harare and Mutare for illegally staying and studying in the country.

They are from Angola, Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The students were nabbed followed an operation by police that included the Department of Immigration.

The students came in the country as visitors. They were mainly studying languages

Assistant Regional Immigration Officer in charge of Compliance and Enforcement Francis Mabika said they were carrying out a countrywide crackdown on illegal immigrants.

It is understood that of the 20 students, seven were arrested at City Study Centre in Harare and the remainder at Davewell Institution in Mutare.
