Mugabe snubs Grace in Cabinet reshuffle

President Robert Mugabe has done a mini-cabinet re-shuffle which did not see any opening to Grace Mugabe but saw Professor Jonathan Moyo being re-assigned to the Higher Education portfolio.
There was speculation that when Jonathan Moyo resigned, Mugabe was crating space for in the the Cabinet for his wife, Grace - who is now considered the country's de facto president - is expected to stamp her authority by putting people of her choice in key positions.
Only last week Grace publicly demanded that under fire Prosecutor General Johannes Tomana be fired, only for Mnangagwa to tell Parliament the following day that Tomana is going nowhere.
Ignatious Chombo, who had served as Local Government minister since 2000 will now head the Home Affairs ministry while Zanu-PF political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere replaces him.
The President did not appoint any minister to lead the Information ministry but Labour Minister Prisca Mupfumira will act.
Other reshuffled ministers include:
Water & Climate - Oppah Muchinguri
State Security - Kembo Mohadi
Gender - Nyasha Chikwinya
Mash East Provincial Affairs minister - Brigadier Ambrose Mutinhiri
