A company owning the land at Glen View 7 has given the settlers who were illegally given land by a resident up to July 10 to have vacated the place indicating that the land in question belonged to it.

In a notice published in the media the company Maitlands Zimbabwe Limited said further to its previous illegal land sales alert concerning the Crest Breeders  which is opposite Glen View 7 being developed under Maitlands Zimbabwe they wanted to warn the public members who bought the land through one William Tsakatsa and others on the land that the land purchase were illegal and criminal.

"The company made a report to the police against him and he paid admission of guilty fines . As of July 3 he has undertaken to have the affected persons fully informed of the illegality and to instruct the illegal stand occupiers to move off the land by wee ending July 10" said the company in a notice.

The company said it will proceed to evict the settlers since it has funds to develop the land and has people awaiting allocation.

It was not yet clear as to how many people are being evicted from the land.
