President Robert Mugabe has been hailed for appointing Professor Jonathan Moyo as the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education.

Political commentators said Moyo is a hard worker and those who think he has been put down by the appointment were wasting their time as the guys command great influence with all the ministries and he is likely to produce results even in that ministry.

A Journalist Zenzele Ndebele said he think the appointment of Prof Jonathan as Minister of Higher education is a good move.

"Hate him or like him the guy is a hard worker. The Hardliners in Zanu PF might be thinking there are reducing his influence but that guy can attract attention from any ministry," he said through his facebook post.

"The cde at lupane University shld be celebrating."

Linox Mhlanga said  perhaps he might be wrong kodwa Lupane State University should be celebrating on the appointment of Prof Kuipa as Vice Chancellor.

"I worked with him at NUST when I was Industrial Liaison and PR officer and found him to be progressive and very innovative," said Mhlanga.

"Look at what he has done at Bindura State University in the time he was acting VC there. Just watch this space. But then I could be wrong."

Nkosi Mbambo said, "We should learn to appreciate at times appreciating does not mean you have support for his party. Thank you Ndebele and others who appreciate Prof effort and hard work"

Magugu Masalela said Moyo is a hard worker but with no resources, to perfect that good work was impossible.

"Lets wait and see, he must make sure he improves the Higher learning infrastructures in Mat North before focusing anywhere. We are sick and tired of being marginalized," she said.
