Vendors fight in Harare over bays

CHAOS engulfed some Harare streets as vendors exchanged blows after council double allocated trading bays.
Harare City Council today began removing thousands of vendors off the streets to the new designated sites.
Vendors are said to have fought at the corner of Chinhoyi Street and Speke Avenue as a result of double allocation of vending bays.
Newly appointed Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Saviour Kasukuwere had vowed to end lawlessness in Harare and other local authorities saying he wants to see the upholding of law and good administration of both rural and urban areas.
