Mugabe arrives in New York, US

President Robert Mugabe has arrived in New York, in the United States of America where he has been invited in his capacity as the AU Chairman to attend the International Ebola Recovery Conference to be held at the United Nations (UN) headquarters from the 9th to the 10th.
President Mugabe, who is accompanied by the First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe, Foreign Affairs Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Health and Child Care Minister David Parirenyatwa, Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa, Presidential Spokesperson George Charamba and some senior government officials, was met at the John F Kennedy International Airport by Zimbabwe's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Frederick Shava, officials from the UN headquarters and staff members from the Zimbabwe Embassy offices in the US.
From the airport, Mugabe and his delegation went into a briefing with Ambassador Shava at the Zimbabwe Embassy offices.
Mugabe was invited by the UN Secretary General, Ban ki-Moon, as leader of the African continent, to attend a high level International Ebola Recovery Conference to be held at the UN headquarters.
