Another Mugabe family jamboree

Zanu-PF officials are moving around the country coercing stressed private sector and State-owned companies to bankroll a lavish 50th birthday bash for increasingly influential First Lady Grace Mugabe on July 23.

Party spokesperson Simon Khaya-Moyo could neither confirm nor deny the plans for the party.

One source said the organizers had said they were planning to host a dinner in her honour and were demanding $100,000 for a table.

The dinner is scheduled to take place upon her return from New York.
