A MAN who was caught by police officers selling pirate discs resisted arrest and later poked a police officer on the face with his finger as the officers were ordering him to go with them to Bulawayo Central Police station recently.
This was herd by the Bulawayo magistrate Charity Maphosa when David Magwenzi (29) of Nketa 7 in Bulawayo appeared before her. He was not asked to plead to the charge and was remanded to July 13 for trial. He is out of custody.
The court heard that on June 4 this year at 4:30pm the police officer Blessmore Sibanda (26) of Ross Camp in Bulawayo was on patrol with other police officers in the city when they saw Magwenzi selling infringed discs.
Magwenzi allegedly became violent when they wanted to handcuff him to a point where he poked Sibanda's face with his finger.
They later managed to arrest him and took him the Bulawayo Central Police Station.
