Kereke guns for Tongaat

Bikita West MP Munyaradzi Kereke (Zanu-PF) while debating a motion seeking to harmonise the Mines and Minerals Act and the Lands Acquisition Act warned that if the two Acts were not harmonized there was likely to be serious conflict.  

He said there was a danger of desecration of graves and other revered areas by communities in search of precious minerals.

He said there was need for equality in terms of how households and companies are treated in terms of land ownership.

He then took a swipe at Tongaat for owning 96,000 hectares of land.
