Haulage truck overturns, blocks round about

A haulage truck driver survived death by a whisker on Monday evening when his vehicle overturned along Simon Mazorodze Road at the round about popularly known as "Pambudzi".

The accident caused heavy congestion that lasted for several hours.

Eye witnesses say the haulage truck overturned when the load spilled to the left side while the haulage truck was negotiating the round about.

Grain Marketing Board workers tirelessly worked trying to recover the grain and clear the road.

The congestion was bad news for South African bound buses and trucks that were rushing to find the Beitbridge border still open.
