Minister gets bullet parcel

Mashonaland Central Provincial Affairs minister Martin Dinha received an AK47 bullet and a letter threatening him that he risks suffering the same fate as the late Zanu-PF political commissar, Elliot Manyika, who died in a suspicious car accident in 2008.

Sources said the bullets and letter were delivered to the minister's office just after midnight as it became apparent that it was the work of hardliners within Zanu-PF angling to succeed President Robert Mugabe.

The lawyer turned politician is said to shaken and in hiding.

Although initially linked to Joice Mujuru, Dinha is now said to be close to the First Family a development which is said to have displeased some within Zanu-PF.
