Property belonging to MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai was yesterday identified by the Messenger of Court for attachment in a case in which 13 former party security personnel obtained a writ of execution for unlawful dismissal in 2010.
The Messenger of Court will return to Tsvangirai's residence in Highlands, Harare, soon to take away the identified property.
The Messenger of Court descended on the house in the company of anti-riot police and identified several vehicles for attachment and execution.
According to the writ of execution, the Deputy Sheriff was required and directed to attach and take into execution the movable goods belonging to Tsvangirai at his Highlands house in Kew Drive.
The movable property included 22 Isuzu trucks, eight Nissan trucks and several other vehicles listed on the writ.
The MDC-T reportedly terminated contracts of 13 security aides in August 2010 before the Labour Court reversed the decision and ordered the party to reinstate them with full benefits.
Judge Justice Priscilla Chigumba ordered the party to pay 5% interest on the varying amounts awarded to the employees in addition to the legal costs.
