President Robert Mugabe arrived back home in the early hours of Wednesday morning and was met at the Harare International Airport by Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko, cabinet ministers, service chiefs and other government officials.
Mugabe was in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea Saturday, the second time he is visiting the country this year.
He barely spent two weeks in Harare after returning from New York where he attended a United Nations meeting on Ebola.
In Malabo, Mugabe attended a conference on Africa's response to the infectious and generally fatal disease.
The globe-trotting veteran leader was in Malabo for a two-day stop over after attending Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari's inauguration on May 31 where he was harangued by local reporters over his 35-year stay in power.
After spending the weekend as guest of his friend President Teodore Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, Mugabe then left Malabo to attend the inauguration of Sudanese leader Omar al Bashir.
Travelling with wife Grace, Mugabe was on Saturday seen off at the Harare International Airport by several government officials.
Opposition parties continue to express concern over Mugabe's endless foreign trips at a time the government admits it is struggling for money.
But aides say, as chairman of both the African Union (AU) and the regional SADC grouping, Mugabe's trips are unavoidable.
