Stampede to wish Grace Mugabe a happy 50th birthday

Is First Lady Dr Amai Grace Mugabe getting the right treatment from the media? She is being congratulated by all and sundry in the government controlled daily newspapers and the national broadcaster for hitting the big 50. Even the Zimbabwe National Army and Prisons and Correctional Services has joined in at a time when the economy is in the doldrums. The Chronicle has a 11 page supplement dedicated to Dr Amai.

Also joining the bandwagon is the Zimbabwe Republic Police who are showering praises on Grace for getting old.

More government departments, parastatals and other outfits did not want to be outdone, they followed suit. Why are they giving her so much attention?

Does this infer the centre of power is now revolving around Grace?
