Mugabe's govt blows $25 million on travel

Despite setting a cumulative target of $5million budgeted towards foreign travel expenses, government had spent $22.8 million, while domestic travel expenses were set at $1.5million, government had spent about $3.1million.

This means government had spent more than $25 million in travelling expenses in the first five months of the year.

These revelations come at a time government continues to struggle to pay civil servants and failing to remit their deductions to relevant entities, while capital and social projects are seriously underfunded.

According to government sources most of the money has been spent on President Robert Mugabe's endless trips abroad.
