The City of Harare has engaged a private company, Omnipark (Pvt) Ltd, to build four commuter transport termini in the central business district in a deal estimated to cost $75 million.

According to minutes of the Business Committee meeting held recently, council will provide land while Omnipark meets construction costs.

Council has since given the town clerk, Tendai Mahachi, the green light to engage Omnipark.

The deal will go ahead once a memorandum of understanding between the City and Omnipark has been signed.
