Woman mocks brother-in-law over 'huge buttocks'

A Harare man took his sister-in-law to court alleging she was in a habit of insulting him over the size of his buttocks.

Perence Murindi approached the Civil Court seeking a peace order against Sophia Kamiya for verbal and psychological abuse.

"She insults me by saying I am both a man and a woman whenever she sees me in public. She tells me that my buttocks and hips look like those of a woman.

"She mocks me telling me that I am man in a woman's body. It is so humiliating and undermines my authority among other man.

"I wish to get a peace order so she stops abusing me' he said.

In her response Sophia said " I was the first one to be advised to take a peace order against him for his abusive behaviour towards me. He however, said he would beat me to it and that is why he is here" she said.

"He hates me because I broke up with his brother and whenever he sees me walking he attempts to run me over with his car. I have never insulted him as he is saying but he is the one who calls me a prostitute".

However, magistrate Barbara Mateko granted the peace order in Perence's favour.
