Massive civil servants retrenchment on the way - Chinamasa

Finance minister Patrick Chinamasa has hinted massive civil servants retrenchment  as he said there was urgent need to reduce wage bill from 80% to just 40%.

He said the Supreme Court ruling on jobs triggered a "necessary debate".

Chinamasa said this why presenting the mid-term Fiscal Policy Review that is expected to give a diagnosis of the economy and map the way forward.

Chinamasa said revenue is currently at $3,6 billion from $3,99 billion while expenditure has been reduced to $4 billion from $4,11 billion
