Tsvangirai's political obituary under construction

Political analyst and media scholar Pedzisai Ruhanya has said while other people have already written MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai's political obituary, in his view the former labour activist's political demise was still under construction since there is still time for all the opposition parties to reform and form a formidable force ahead of 2018 elections.

"While I slightly differ with people who have already written the political obituary of Morgan Tsvangirai, I think that its still under construction and 2018 will be decisive not only for Tsvangirai's political burial but many opposition leaders as well," he said.

"In order to halt their collective political burials/funerals in 2018 most significantly Tsvangirai's the most viable reprieve is the total unification of opposition forces, never mind how small or tainted some of them maybe."

He said the time for parochial politics that don't change anything is gone. "You either reform, stop small politics or you all die DIE in 2018!" he said.

"Don't ask me who the leader of the opposition will be; that is not the critical issue!"
