Air Zimbabwe secures fuel
04 Aug 2015 at 14:31hrs | Views
The cash-strapped Air Zimbabwe yesterday said it had secured adequate fuel supplies to resume normal flights following delays and cancellation of most of its flights last week due to a severe shortage of Jet A1 fuel.
Air Zimbabwe wishes to advise all its valued customers that the fuel situation that affected its operations during the past week has since normalized, AirZim spokesperson Shingai Taruvinga-Dhliwayo said in a statement yesterday.
Flight delays which were experienced were as a result of the non-availability of Jet A1 fuel from suppliers who are licensed to supply the product for all airlines flying to Zimbabwe.
These shortages also affected all airports in Zimbabwe and some in the region.
