Self-confessed Satanist stabs man with a spear

A self-confessed Satanist stabbed a 20-year-old man with a spear in Harare on Friday. Fortunately, the youngman Tinashe Mushohwe, 20, was not seriously injured as he blocked Derek Mazvire from causing further harm to him.
"I was walking along Leopold Takawira when I met the man. I turned round ndichingoti kugumwa," Tinashe said. As soon as Tinashe turned, the man (Mazvire) tried to stab him with the spear on the stomach, but Tinashe blocked the spear although he received a cut on the abdomen. "When he tried to stab me again, I blocked the spear with my hand and my finger got injured in the process," said the visibly shaken Tinashe.
Clad in a long white robe and black beads around his chest, the self-confessed Satanist showed no remorse as he was being led to First Street Police Post. "It is my job to kill people. That is what I do. I am a Satanist and you cannot stop me," Derek said. The matter which has been recorded under RRB Number 1173054 is still in the hands of the police.
Police yesterday said the case was set to be referred for court today. The police however could not divulge the charge Derek is likely to face. Shoppers who followed Derek to the police wanted to vent their anger on the self- confessed devil's worshipper.
"Ndezvake izvo kana arimusatanist topedzerana naye anoda kuuraya munhu. (Thats his own problem we want to deal with him, he wants to commit murder," said one shopper. Derek was however, not perturbed by the comments and maintained his "confession".
He kept contradicting himself and seemed confused but showed no remorse. Tinashe received a tetanus injection at Hatfield Clinic and had his wounds dressed.
