Woman dumps hubby for being broke

A Harare man being sued by his wife stunned the court when he said the mother of his children dumped him for being broke.
Napu Chikotora said this when he appeared before the civil court being sued by his former wife for $100 meant to maintain his children with Loveness Manomano.
In his defence the man said his former wife knows he cannot afford to look after the children because he was unemployed. He said she actually left their matrimonial home because she said he was too broke for her.
The man offered to pay $50 exclusive of fees as he was eking a living through selling socks for soccer teams and gets not, more than $180 per month. He also said he has another wife and a child to look after. But Loveness said he was lying that he is not working as he coaches a soccer team and he has neglected their children since he got married to another wife.
The magistrate Gamuchirai Siwardi ordered the man to pay $70 per month as from August 31.
