Driver up for biting lover's finger

A 60 years old driver has been dragged to court to answer a charge of biting his former girlfriend's finger in a dispute.
Clever Mutandwa was denying the charge of domestic violence when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Bianca Makwande. The case was further remanded for continuation.
In his defence he said he never assaulted her but she was just scratched by a razor wire when she wanted to assault him.
He claimed she was the one who assaulted him the previous day when they met at his neighbor accusing him of not introducing his new girlfriend to her.
The court heard that on July 24 at 11am Juliet Mavhunga went to the accused's work place intending to settle their differences. She allegedly met him with the new girlfriend and a misunderstanding ensued before the accused ran to seek refugee at his work place. Juliet followed and gave him her mobile phone through the fence so that he could talk to her aunt.
Clever allegedly grabbed her finger and bite it. She later reported to the police leading to Clever's arrest. Tendasi Matsikenyere prosecuted the matter.
